Paris Plage, Paris Beach

Paris Plages

Since 2002, the third week of July has been the time when the Paris riverbank transforms itself into a car-free zone and an urban beach, also known as Paris Plage. During the 4 weeks of Paris Beach you can enjoy a variety of activities from volleyball, aerobics and kayaking or just simply resting on a deck chair in the summer heat with your feet in the white sand from 08:00 until 24:00 every day.

Transformation takes place across three main zones:

1. The stretch between Pont de Sully and Le Louvre
2. Port de la Gare
3. Bassin de La Villete
