Paris is home to Free Roller-blading twice a week, on both Fridays and Sundays where you join thousands of skaters in a communal tour covering 20km (Sunday) to 30km (Friday), infact Paris Skating is now considered to be the largest get-together of this type in the world with 15000 active skaters. Each tour differs from week to week, with roads sectioned off to give roller skaters / roller bladders/cyclists and skateboarders priority and safety from road traffic. If you time your participation well, once every two months the circuit includes the Champs Elysée.

A word of Caution, if you’re a beginner, you may not be ready for this type of tour as the terrain/ route is deliberately chosen to be a challenge (including cobbled roads). If you’re at the beginner stage you can consider the Sunday Tour. The organisation invites everyone with a pair of skate one several conditions; be familiar with the rules and your ability to control your speed. The association’s relationship with the Police ensures particpant and spectator safety and even provide two ambulances who follow from the back.

Where to meet
