| Description | ||
| Le Pont Neuf is one of the most recognised bridges in Paris today. The bridge has a total of 12 arches, 7 arches spanning on the right bank and 5 arches spanning the left bank. Opened in 1607 and measuring 232 meters x 22 meters, le Pont neuf was considered an innovation as it was the first bridge in Paris to be constructed without any housing built on it, and furthermore, it was the first bridge to boast pavements, a key to its popularity amongst Parisians. | ||
